It is designed primarily around 120-150mm forks. 120-130 is the sweet spot for all around riding.
1 1/8”
The chameleon uses a 30.9mm seatpost. Make sure it is always inserted a minimum of 4” (100mm)
34.9mm (supplied with frame)
The eccentric bottom bracket can rotate to tension the chain, so the bike can be setup as a single speed if you wish. If you are using a typical 27speed drivetrain, just setup the eccentric in the 6 o’clock or 12 o’clock and build it up as you normally would.
A shimano 34.9 top swing/ top pull. Anything but saint should do the job.
The Chameleon uses a 68mm bottom bracket shell, and a 50-51mm chainline. Pretty much any of the newer external bottom bracket cranks will mount up without issue. The Truvativ stylo and shimano Deore XT are our favorites. If you are using an ISIS setup, you need a 68x113mm bottom bracket.
2.5” is about the max.
We recommend a 160mm or 185mm rotor, but a 203 will fit in there if you wish.
Just get our single speed hanger. Nice and clean, and you still get the bottle opener. Check out our online store to order.
Any 135x10mm QR hub will work just fine. No need for bolt-on singlespeed hubs, as the Chameleon has vertical dropouts.
